Brigitte Killen and Blake Gardner’s Industrial Austin Wedding at Brazos Hall
SWEET BEGINNINGS: Brigitte and Blake met during their sophomore year of high school. They were always close, but eventually began a long-distance relationship while Brigitte was in Austin and Blake in Dallas. After dozens of road trips back and forth, Blake eventually decided to move to Austin to start their life together.
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Ten years after meeting for the first time, Brigitte and Blake took a month long trip to Europe. While enjoying a romantic day exploring and sight seeing in Venice, Italy, they decided to take a gondola ride. As they passed under the famous Rialto Bridge, Blake stood up, got down on one knee, and proposed. With people on both sides of the canal cheering and clapping, it was a movie moment!
SETTING THE SCENE: Brazos Hall is a wonderful blank canvas to make your wedding your own from top to bottom. Brigitte loved the energy and excitement of the downtown venue, and knew the industrial design was perfect for her wedding.
HUES SHE USED: Flowers were the star of Brigitte and Blake’s wedding décor, and these floral designs inspired the blush, ivory, marsala and green color palette.
BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: The bride carried a textured ribbon-tied blush and ivory bouquet with a pop of marsala. The floral selection included garden roses, dahlias, scabiosa, freesia, ranunculus and spay roses.
SPECIAL TOUCHES: To portray their love for traveling, the bride and groom had a globe for their guests to sign and a vintage suitcase for guests to place cards.
